Millionaire for schools
Client: Charanga
Role: Multimedia Developer
Millionaire for Schools is an application that uses the ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ format, and repurposes it with an educational focus.
The application was also linked to handle the Promethean API for use with voting handset hardware.
Inspira Music
Client: Charanga
Role: Multimedia Developer
Inspira Music is a one-year KS2 and Wider Opportunities programme of training. It is built around 10 engaging songs which have differentiated parts for all popular instruments and ensembles.
I created an several flash applications that approach different aspects of training. The main training application works alongside a Shockwave Midi API that uses midi data to animate instruments as well as hearing it so the children have prompts to play along to.
Hip Hop Coach

Hip Hop Coach is the new Key Stage 2 curriculum-based music resource to teach students: Beatboxing, Composition, Djing, Digging, Lyrics, Mixing, Music Production and Technology, Poetic Techniques, Sampling, Scratching, Sequencing and Music Terminology.
I created an several flash applications that approach different aspects of the learning. The screen grab is from a drum machine simulator using the shockwave midi engine that allows kids to try and recreate classic hip beats.
Charanga Music + SMILE Resources
Client: Charanga

Charanga Music is a large online library of music education resources. I've helped create an online offline resource viewer that runs as a DVD standalone application as well as a resource downloader and offline resource player for use in classrooms.
The project has adapted to the companies business model from a simple offline resource player to a much more advanced application, that integrates with a rails server to allow zip downloading and extraction of teachers predesigned 'lessons' as well as dvd importing into a master application.
Alongside the advanced resource player I created a nice music resource that uses a Shockwave Midi engine and allows students to see how to play a song as well as read the music. There is a score highlighting engine as well as full volume,tempo, playback and loop manipulation of the song. This data based approach has allowed the project to be scaled by music publishers and it now contains hundreds of songs based on the platform.
PwC Security
Client: PricewaterhouseCoopers/Brightwave
Role: Multimedia Developer
I was given the responsibility of developing the whole e-Learning course covering Security Confidentiality and Privacy in conjunction with Brightwave. The Project was delivered to increadibly tight deadlines with increasing functionality and accessibility settings. The course also tracked back to 2 different SCORM based e-Learning systems, and delivered via CD for offline trainees.
PwC Risk And Quality
Client: PricewaterhouseCoopers/Brightwave
Role: Multimedia Developer
I was set the task of developing the whole e-Learning course covering Risk and Quality for new managers in conjunction with Brightwave. The Project was delivered to increadibly tight deadlines but with quite a different bespoke approach to the content. The course was designed to be taken by a variety of roles and the course content was filtered depending upon the users individual role. The course also tracked back to a SCORM based e-Learning system, and delivered via CD for offline trainees.
Sky Induction

As part of a team I was tasked with developing the shell and certain sections of the applications as well as laying out templates for the other developers.
Cable and Wireless Induction

Role: Multimedia Developer
As part of the development team I was tasked with developing the initial build and certain modules of the learning, and the quirky parallax menu. I also assisted in creating working templates for the other developers. The application was part of a larget portal, and although having a non-traditional feel, had to be distinctly on brand.
