Alan Smith is a Brighton based web and multimedia developer.

I am available for employment on a permanent, contract or freelance basis. I am an experienced multimedia developer/programmer and designer. My most recent permanent position was with Brightwave Ltd. as a Multimedia Developer and Lead Flash Coder.

Awards received

Working for Brightwave in conjunction with BSkyB we won the Silver International Visual Communication Association Award for Internal Multimedia for a Health & Safety Induction Course.

Also for Brightwave I created an animated customer training demo for First Choice that evolved to become part of their larger Foreign Exchange Customer Service and Sales Training Course. This won Gold in the Custom Content, Full Course Category at the Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning 2005 award.

Interests and activities

My main interest outside work is music, as I run and DJ at events around Brighton, as well as making electronic music in my home studio. I also enjoy travelling, having recently returned from a year long excursion around the world. I am also interested in the arts visiting as many galleries as my feet can handle.
